Il y a 2 ans, avec mes 2 garçons, nous remontions la Loire en vélo pendant 4 semaines au plus près de ce fleuve emblématique.
De cette belle expérience basée sur le bivouac en itinérance, nous restions pourtant un peu frustrés d’être cantonnés à des routes aménagées en retrait des rives naturelles. Certes les étapes furent magnifiques, le patrimoine splendide et le voyage dans l’Histoire de France enrichissant… Mais rien qui puisse nous rappeler nos escapades au bord de l’eau le long des canaux bretons ou plus récemment, à travers les canaux hollandais.
En vélo le long de la Loire, une barrière végétale nous sépare souvent de la vue directe avec le fleuve et les routes goudronnées nous éloignaient toujours un peu d’un bivouac sauvage et insolite, les pieds dans l’eau.
L’idée d’un autre voyage a donc fait son chemin :
Découvrir ce fleuve autrement, d’une manière plus directe, au contact de l’eau et du biotope…
Germe alors le projet de construire notre radeau et de descendre la Loire !
